  • Taste Cork Week

    Taste Cork Week takes place from the 16th - 22nd October 2017, celebrating Cork’s produce, history & flourishing food culture. Once again Taste Cork is teaming up with Festival Cork to deliver an exciting programme, tailored to lovers of truly great food!
    Carrying on from last year’s achievements with over 40 venues participating and 30 events taking place, Taste Cork Week 2017 will push on from this with even more exciting events taking place across the city and county.
     Throughout the week, Cork restaurants, cafés, bars and pubs will be showcasing their creativity, designing sensational menus and events as part of the ‘Taste Cork Experience’. Festival goers will have an opportunity to sample imaginative dishes, made using outstanding local ingredients and inspired by Cork’s heritage and thriving food culture.
    Taste Cork Week venues are already busy planning their menus and events and will reveal all in the week ahead. The programme is filling up fast with exciting pop-up events across the city and county – stay tuned to our social media channels and festivalcork.com for more information!
    The jam-packed week will feature food trails exploring Cork’s rich food heritage, demonstrations to help you hone your culinary skills, distillery & brewery tours, as well as opportunities to meet the producers.
    Justin Green & Antony Jackson of Ballyvolane House Spirits Company will host a Bertha’s Revenge Gin Distillery Tour & Tasting similar to last year’s event. The tour will be followed by a long-table lunch at Ballyvolane House co-hosted by Eight Degrees Brewing and Stonewell Cider, who will discuss their story and the growing Irish micro brewing and artisan drinks culture.
    Following on from last year’s success, we are delighted to announce that Taste Cork Week is teaming up with Diageo and Guinness Jazz Festival to bring you an extended 'Taste Jazz Special' running from 23rd to 26th October. Chill-out in style with a series of pop-up, one-off jazz events at venues throughout the city.
